The cause

UK job losses are hitting record-high numbers and worse is seen ahead as Britain winds down the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme at the end of October when employers will have to decide if they can afford to keep on workers. It's being predicted unemployment could hit 15% by the end of the year, the worst level of joblessness since the great depression.

Record low vacancies combined with high unemployment is seeing a huge increase in people chasing every job advert. Young people especially will struggle to get their first jobs, and workers who have lost their jobs will struggle to find new opportunities.

Our work

Suited for Success helps to ensure no-one misses out on an opportunity to gain the dignity of employment for the want of interview skills and interview clothing.

We offer support to people who lack the skills or confidence to apply for a job or sell themselves at interview, despite being perfectly qualified for the job. Our charity helps unemployed men and women prepare for a job interview by providing FREE interview coaching, employment preparation skills and interview clothing to make sure that first impression count..

For many unemployed men and women, especially those experiencing significant barriers to gaining employment, including the homeless, ex-forces, back to work mums, ex-offenders and NEET 16-29 year olds, not having the right support to prepare for a job interview can be a huge barrier.
